Comparison
HotClays is a great personal card. League night needs a club OS.
Shooters already have HotClays. Officers still have Excel. Those are different jobs — even after HotClays adds organization features.
What HotClays is for
HotClays is the default rec on Reddit and Trapshooters for tap-hit-miss scoring. Free app, email/text scorecards, practice and informal events. That is the right tool for a shooter or a coach keeping personal stats.
It is not rosters, season standings, team captains, duty elevation, or Night Desk. Their org/club work is newer. Even then, the gravity of the product is the personal card.
What officers still have to run
| Job | HotClays | No Bird Scoring |
|---|---|---|
| Tap hit / miss | Excellent | Club pad (team / station) |
| Season standings | Not the product | Yes |
| Captains / lineups | Not the product | Yes on team boards |
| Duty / desk / fees | Not the product | Night Desk |
| Buyer | Shooter | Club / league director |
Members can keep HotClays for practice. The board still needs a club system for Tuesday. Trap league software.
What this is not
- Not a full accounting suite or QuickBooks replacement
- Not certified ATA/NSSA/NSCA electronic filing (yet)
- Not a native app-store download — web app that works on phone/tablet (installable as a PWA)
- Not a personal hit/miss scorecard for one shooter in the field

The live Tour is the same product shape — scorepads, standings, and Night Desk. Sample data only. Don’t put real member names in the Tour.
